The 135’ tall / 12’ diameter column had to be stood upright from the horizontal position using the 550 and a Manitowoc 10000 crawler as a tail crane.
The GMK7550 was configured with 132,000 cwt., 179.2’ of main boom and 59’ of fixed jib at a 3 degree offset.

In essence the 550 acted as a mobile hydraulic tower crane, making picks for a variety of trades.
Working conditions were extremely tight requiring the 550 to work over another crane setting the pre-cast garage beams.
Crane was configured with the mega-wing attachment and 239.5’ of luffing jib, 179.2’ of main boom at 81 and 70 degrees, and 308,600 lbs counter weight.
Total radius with the configuration at 295` allowed Budrovich to pick a 6,850 pound hydro-mobile scaffold.
